Our research over the years has shown that people looking to buy property in Spain fall into any combination of four categories. Some people are looking for a home to retire to in the sun, some want to improve their standard of living by taking their business to a better location and some want to spend all the time that they can on a golf course. However, whichever combination of these elements is the driving force for a person's wish to buy in Spain, investment is usually amongst them to some degree. Everyone wants their property to be an appreciating or income-generating asset even if only to enjoy new benefits to the location or contribute towards running costs.

This is why Weston & Dubois evaluate the locations and resorts in which to buy based on investment indicators because, when all the boxes have been ticked for high investment potential, the others will usually fall into place.

For this reason, we focus on regions in Spain which have shown consistent growth and popularity with the overseas and local property purchaser or show the opportunity for future growth. This ensures that an investment will have rental income or a multi-pronged exit strategy or ideally, both. Only 4 of the 18 autonomous regions in Spain currently fall into this category though there are thousands of offerings within these. Once a property or resort has met our investment criteria, we research and critique it thoroughly before accepting it onto our books to ensure that it also meets legal requirements and reasonable investor expectations.
